An Energy Ritual for Founder Clarity
A personal story on designing rituals that keep your energy aligned with what the company needs next.

I kept chasing new productivity systems until I realised the real problem was energy drift. This ritual pulled me back into alignment.
Step 1 — Arrival
I walk around the block once, no phone, repeating a single question: What does the company need from me this week? By the time I return, the noise is quieter.
Step 2 — Inventory
- I list the commitments on paper.
- I mark the ones that energise versus drain.
- Anything draining without strategic value gets delegated or dropped.
Step 3 — Anchor
I choose one non-negotiable practice (usually exercise or reflection) and block it in the calendar before meetings find the space. This is the anchor that keeps my decision-making sharp.
This ritual takes 15 minutes every Monday. It's not glamorous, but it makes the rest of the week feel intentional.
